Helping Employees Communicate Across Different Working Styles

Case Study: Helping Employees Communicate Across Different Working Styles

The Challenge

A national organization wanted to improve how employees gave feedback, handled disagreement, and communicated across different working styles. Employees had previously been introduced to communication and behavioral-style concepts, but leadership wanted the next training to move beyond theory.

The challenge was to create an experience that felt relevant to approximately 80 participants, supported the company's growth goals, and gave employees language they could use in actual workplace conversations.

How Good Carma Helped

Good Carma designed a practical communication workshop that integrated Predictive Index behavioral profiles, Radical Candor, and a simple feedback framework called CARE.

Our team:

  • Helped employees understand the difference between intent and impact, and recognize why people often avoid feedback

  • Translated the concepts into realistic workplace scenarios and paired exercises

  • Gave participants practice both giving and receiving feedback, with an emphasis on curiosity, clarity, and shared responsibility

  • Coordinated the broader participant experience, including individual behavioral profiles, team rosters, communication-style resources, worksheets, and advance messaging

  • Gathered feedback from company leadership and simplified the content so the session reflected the organization's culture and business priorities

The Outcome

Employees left with a shared vocabulary and a repeatable approach for navigating difficult conversations. Instead of expecting one person to communicate perfectly, the training reinforced that productive communication requires effort from both sides.

The organization gained more than a one-time presentation. It gained practical tools employees and managers could continue using in feedback conversations, team collaboration, and day-to-day leadership.

The Good Carma Difference

Communication training often stops at theory. Good Carma builds sessions that give people language they'll actually reach for in the moment — in a hard conversation, a piece of feedback, a disagreement with a colleague who works differently than they do.

We don't just teach the concept. We make sure people leave able to use it.
